Excitement is in the air as American Heartland Theme Park and Resort is set to become one of Oklahoma's most anticipated entertainment destinations. With a grand plan and a $2 billion investment, this 1,000-acre resort aims to draw more than 4.9 million guests annually, making it a must-visit spot in the heartland.

Located just west of Grand Lake on historic Route 66, the American Heartland Theme Park and Resort will be developed in phases, with a large-scale RV park and cabins scheduled to open in the spring of 2025. However, the real showstopper will be the world-class theme park and resort, eagerly awaited to open its gates in 2026. Spearheaded by the Missouri-based Mansion Entertainment Group, this resort promises to offer a unique experience that can rival some of the world's most renowned vacation spots.

At the heart of this development will be the 125-acre theme park, on par with the size of Magic Kingdom© Theme Park and Disneyland© Park. Designed with an Americana-themed environment, visitors can expect an array of entertaining rides, captivating live shows, and family-friendly attractions. Moreover, the resort will offer a delightful assortment of restaurant-quality food and beverage offerings, ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience during their stay.

One of the most notable aspects of this project is the adjoining Three Ponies RV Park and Campground, designed by Oklahoma architects ADG Blatt. Spanning over 320 acres, it is set to become the largest campground in the central U.S., boasting an impressive 750 RV spaces and 300 cozy cabins, all complemented by a host of amenities.

The economic impact of this development is expected to be transformative for the region. Creating over 4,000 jobs, American Heartland Theme Park and Resort will not only attract millions of visitors but will also pave the way for new businesses to flourish in the area. With tourism already a significant industry in Oklahoma, this resort is set to elevate the state's standing and draw attention from across the country.

The people behind American Heartland have carefully assembled a world-class team of designers, including over 20 former Disney Parks builders and Walt Disney Imagineers. The combination of their expertise and the vision of American Heartland's leadership ensures that families will find timeless fun and boundless adventure within the themed lands of the park: Great Plains, Bayou Bay, Big Timber Falls, Stony Point Harbor, Liberty Village, and Electropolis.

Furthermore, the development will feature a top-tier 300-room hotel and a modern indoor water park, providing visitors with a variety of accommodation options to suit their needs.

The introduction of the American Heartland Theme Park and Resort could have a positive impact on the local property market. With millions of visitors expected annually, the demand for nearby housing and vacation rental properties is likely to rise, creating opportunities for real estate investors and developers. Additionally, the development of such a prominent tourist destination can enhance the appeal of the region, potentially attracting new residents and businesses to the area.

As we eagerly await the unveiling of American Heartland Theme Park and Resort, the promise of creating lasting memories, experiencing joy, laughter, imagination, and wonder is truly enticing. The rich cultural tapestry and genuine hospitality of the heartland will undoubtedly resonate with visitors from all walks of life, making American Heartland a landmark destination in Oklahoma for years to come.

Blink and you'll miss it- this little place is serving some really impressive seafood! If you're looking to celebrate and want some great fresh fish, I recommend checking out Sedalia's near NW 10th and May Avenue. Their menu changes regularly based on what's available, and it's a great chance to try some really unique options. People told me the focaccia is a must try, and I'm going to tell you the exact same thing. For an interesting dinner experience with a ton of flavor, you should definitely put this on your list!

So back when I was a kid, this theatre was a big deal! The largest theatre we had ever seen with so many screens. The neon lights were fantastic and the building itself was remarkable. Over time this theatre lost its luster and became a place that not many patrons frequented. Take us up to today and Tinseltown has really come back! Nice new heated seats with recliners, a large snack bar, a game room, and the XD Experience! The sound was awesome and everything seemed very clean. I will definitely be returning and can now recommend this as an option for out-of-town friends who are coming to the Adventure District.

Lincoln Park's origins go back to Oklahoma City's original planning. Specifically, the plan called for a Grand Boulevard, lined with trees, encircling the outer edge of the city. Grand Boulevard would be crowned by a major city park in each of the four quadrants. The city council approved the plan in 1909 and today will still have all four of the original big parks - Woodson Park (southwest), Trosper Park (southeast), Will Rogers Park (northwest), and this one, Lincoln Park.

Originally called Northeast Park it was the largest park in the city at 744 acres. Streetcars brought in visitors from all over the city. Over time the park would develop a ninety-acre northeast ake, of course, an amphitheater, and home to the Oklahoma City Zoo, as well as the Science Museum. Check out the link below to see more of Oklahoma City's Adventure District.
  • I had never been to Francesca's until I stumbled upon this one while hunting down a festive cocktail dress to wear at our annual company Christmas dinner. After scouring several other boutiques, I was immediately relieved at the sight of their collection of party outfits and even more so when I looked at the price tags! • Cross Timbers Brewery is a cute, tucked-away brewery that offers a wide range of unique beers. They also host monthly events like free movie nights, bingo charity events, live music, and private party rentals. Right next door is Edgecraft BBQ and who doesn't love BBQ and beer. You can also view their food truck schedule on their website.

I just attended a charity event that they hosted and it was such a fun experience. The atmosphere was calm and edgy all in one. They provide both indoor and outdoor space. The indoor space has televisions for pleasure viewing, but also a covered outdoor patio with games like corn-hole. I recommend the Banana Plains beer, it tastes very similar to banana bread! Check it out!

Their next upcoming events include Saturday, July 23rd, Movie on the Patio at 9:00 p.m. - The Big Lebowski. Friday, July 29th: Live Music on the Patio - Buffalo Jones and the Heard
